Meet the Author

"Oh, that my words were recorded, that they were written on a scroll, that they were inscribed with an iron tool on lead, or engraved in rock forever!"

For as long as I can remember, reading and telling stories have been my passion. Whether it was under the playground in elementary school and reading my scribbles from a miniature Lisa Frank journal to classmates, spending my summers deep in books, or jotting short story ideas down in coffee shops, stories have been a constant "wellspring of life" for me.

While the story of how I got here is long and arduous, with many twists and turns, it was ultimately the Lord who brought me to this point. He's been with me throughout my career, patiently tugging at my heart and softly wooing me towards pen and paper, keystrokes and tabs. It probably took longer than it should have for me to finally listen, but in January 2017, His call became louder and I just knew it was time to obey. 

Today, I have finished my first novel and am overcome by the pull for its sequel. It was truly a marathon of love and one that I am so excited to embark on with Riley (my heroine) again. In the meantime, the mission of this website is to be a positive and safe creative space to share my thoughts as well as educate new writers like myself about the process as I stumble my way through this wild ride.

If there is one hope that I have for this website (and my work), it's that you would hear that same soft whisper from the Lord, wooing you into deeper intimacy with Him.
